About the event
The AfCFTA Startup Acceleration Program is a strategic initiative designed to catalyze the growth of 30 high-potential African startups. By leveraging the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area, the program provides entrepreneurs with the regulatory knowledge and logistical support needed to expand beyond their home borders. This is not just an incubator; it is a fast-track partnership platform that connects founders with corporate off-takers and government procurement offices across 54 countries.
The program culminates in a "Grand Pitch Finale" where startups present to a panel of pan-African venture capitalists and development finance institutions (DFIs). The focus is on sectors that drive intra-African trade, including Fintech, Agritech, and E-commerce logistics. Through a mix of virtual masterclasses and physical networking hubs, the program breaks down the barriers to cross-border scaling, such as tariff complexities and payment interoperability.
